The claim that iBooks Author is "Apple at its worst" is a comment on the following quote by Dan Wineman:

Frankly, I'm disappointed by the hostility I've seen on this thread. Chris clearly stated that he was picking there are cheaper PC's than Macs, but that there are some Macs that are similarly priced to similar PC's. There was no contention that Macs are always cheaper, just that there are some cases where the cost is similar.
Could it be that this does not work for CC – Creative Suite?. I tried for Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 in an Windows 7 Pro 64Bit System. Microsoft did screw up big time by not, at the get-go, allowing the rocker-jockeys to just launch to the desktop and have their typical mess. Microsoft also screwed up by not seeding the app store with any decent modern apps to replace what was lost on the desktop. A decent photo handling app that could even display (or maybe even modify!) metadata, for instance. Windows Live Photo Viewer is 20x the app that the photos app is. And of course Xbox music has been a hot mess for its entire existence as a modern app. Duplicate albums, rancid tag handling, it took months for them to get it to stop shutting down when you had an RT with the cover closed. Finally, refusing to make nice with Cisco so that there would be a decent way to use VPN with RT machines meant no one went that direction. I shouldn't say |

Great Article!!!!!!. i have been thinking about migrating my Acer homeserver to WHS2011 but havent worried about it too much until now. just wondering if anyone would be king enough to give me an update since this article? i have around 8TB in one storage pool thanks to DE. i use this mostly as a media server storage system, backup my PC's and thats about it. But i do love the DE feature that is just an easy storage pool with duplication. id be happy to migrate if i can still use some sort of storage pool or RAID, and i can backup my folders eaily. how have you guys found it since updating? what headaches did it cause? do you no longer miss V.1, would you never look back since migrating? how have you overcome or replaced DE?
